Christmas sessions are limited and always book quickly due to the busy season. As a mom myself, I can only take on a small number of families to ensure everyone has the best experience and the attention it deserve, so it’s best to reserve your space early.

Pre-Session

What age is best for Christmas sessions?

Christmas photoshoots are perfect for children of all ages — from babies celebrating their first Christmas, to toddlers, siblings, and families together. I adapt each session to suit the age and personality of your little ones.

How far in advance should I book a Christmas session?

Because spaces are very limited, it’s best to book as early as possible — ideally 1–2 months in advance. Christmas sessions sell out quickly each year. I sometimes open last-minute slots, but availability is not guaranteed.

Where do Christmas photoshoots take place?

All Christmas mini sessions take place in my cosy home studio in Rugby, Warwickshire. The studio is styled with festive decorations and fairy lights, creating a warm and magical atmosphere perfect for timeless portraits.

What should we wear for a Christmas photoshoot?

Neutral tones, festive colours like deep reds, greens, creams and golds work beautifully. Avoid bold logos and distracting patterns. Coordinating outfits for siblings or parents create a lovely, timeless look. Festive pyjamas are also a popular choice!

Can parents and siblings join the Christmas session?

Absolutely. Family photos are always welcome during Christmas sessions. We’ll capture a mix of individual child portraits, sibling interactions, and full family shots to create a beautiful festive gallery.

During the Session

How long does a Christmas session take?

Christmas mini sessions usually last around 30–45 minutes. This keeps little ones engaged and happy, while still allowing plenty of time for different poses and family groupings.

What is your Christmas photography style?

My Christmas photoshoots are warm, natural and festive. I use timeless props, fairy lights and seasonal backdrops, while keeping the focus on your children and family connections. The result is a gallery that feels both magical and authentic.

What if my child doesn’t want to cooperate?

Don’t worry — it’s very common! Sessions are child-led and relaxed. We take breaks if needed, use gentle prompts, and create a fun environment with festive music to encourage natural smiles and laughter.

Do we need to bring any props?

No need — the festive set is already fully styled. However, if you’d like to bring a special item such as a favourite teddy, Christmas book, or family heirloom decoration, you’re very welcome to include it for personal touches.

Can we have outfit changes during the session?

Yes, you can bring 1 outfit change if you’d like a mix of formal festive outfits and casual Christmas pyjamas. Keeping changes minimal helps the session flow smoothly for little ones.

After the Session

When will we receive our Christmas photos?

You’ll receive your online proofing gallery within 1–2 weeks of your session. This allows plenty of time to choose your favourites for gifts, prints, or personalised Christmas cards.

How many photos are included in the package?

This depends on your chosen collection. My Digital Christmas Memories package comes with 10 fully edited images, while the Treasured Christmas Collection includes 15 digitals plus matching prints and a framed wall art piece. Every package comes with access to a beautifully edited proofing gallery.

Can we order Christmas prints or wall art?

Yes — I offer Christmas fine art prints, and wall art products. Many families love gifting festive prints to grandparents or using the images for personalised cards.

How will we receive our images?

Your photographs are delivered via a private online gallery for instant download in high-resolution. If you’ve ordered prints or wall art, these are carefully prepared and packaged for delivery.

Will you keep a backup of our Christmas session?

I keep backups for a limited time after delivery, but I always recommend downloading and saving your photos securely on multiple devices for long-term safekeeping.
